Where is your jewelry made?
All of our products are proudly designed and manufactured in New York City.
Where are your stones from?
We only used natural gemstones that have been sourced from some of the best local and international suppliers. If stones have been treated in any way such information is always disclosed in product details. All diamonds over 1.00ct come with a full lab report by GIA certifying the cut, color, clarity and carat size of the stone(s).
Have your images been retouched?
One of our favorite things about working with natural gemstones is the extraordinary range of colors available to us, and the fact that each stone has been made by the earth, and therefore is truly unique. While we do our best to ensure all images are the most accurate representation of each piece (and are NEVER photoshopped to enhance color) please be advised that, due to the nature of gemstones and our hand finishing process, some slight variations in color and finish are possible. How do I take care of my jewelry?
We want each piece of jewelry you purchase from us to become part of your life’s story and pass through many generations, so here are a few things to keep in mind:
Fine jewelry can be damaged when coming into contact with perfumes, cosmetics, household cleaners, and extreme temperatures.
Remove rings whenever exercising to avoid damage.
The best way to clean your pieces is with a soft bristle toothbrush and a mix of warm water and mild dish soap. NEVER put your colored stones or pearls in an ultrasonic machine, but diamonds are ok.
Store all of your gemstone jewelry separately to keep the stones from scratching one another.
How and when is your product delivered?
All orders that contain in-stock items, placed before 3:00 PM (EST) Mon-Fri will ship the same day. Any orders placed after 3:00 PM (EST) Mon-Fri or over the weekend will ship the next business day. Akaila Reid is closed on the following days, and orders placed on these days will be processed the next business day: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Election Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve through New Year’s Eve (Dec 24th - Dec 31st).
Custom and Made to Order pieces take on average 12-16 weeks from time of payment to completion. We know that sometimes a client is working within a shorter time frame and we are happy to accommodate such requests to the best of our ability.
